You could say that Eco Lifestyle is the most political expansion pack in Sims 4. You have to earn your stripes, put in some serious work, and balance a lot of things at once in order to make a demonstrable change in this world. While no single expansion can make the game its very best, Snowy Escape does an amazing job of reminding us of some of the very best expansions that have been shown in the Sims franchise.
From the look of its cover, you may think that the focus on the expansion is based on winter sports. However, Snowy Escape is far more than skiing, snowboarding and sledding. Not only does the neighborhood of Yukimatsu offer these activities, but it also allows sims to go climbing, hiking and exploring. The neighborhood is also more open than you may expect, and Sims can more freely explore the area.
Hikes allow them to automatically walk to different locations but you can also manually discover new places to see. Sims can go hiking and climbing in several different locations, enjoying a wide range of scenery. After all the physical activity they can also relax in the new Onsen lot, taking a dip in the hot springs.
This expansion is worth it. The Sims 4 is great, but its base experience is centered around living in a small town. If you are looking for more of a major city experience, than the City Living expansion is the one for you. City Living gives your sims the city of San Myshuno to live in, and with it comes apartment living, new career paths, and local festivals to enjoy. The first major change in City Living is your living situation in and of itself. Rather than owning a house, your sim will begin in a rundown apartment in a less-than-ideal part of town.
However, as you advance in your career and earn simoleons, you will move up and eventually upgrade to the premium penthouse option. Living situations are also unique thanks to the new Lot Trait mechanic. These traits give houses and apartments unique qualities that affect the living situation. You could have a large cooking-friendly kitchen, loud neighbors, or a place that needs a lot of DIY work. That makes for dynamic living situations that feel more alive than the standard housing options in the base game.
Socializing is also more robust in City Living with activities like karaoke and the new singing skill. Your sim also has new opportunities with three new career paths and even the option to work from home. Rather, it takes its core mechanics and enhances them while centering around a new city living experience. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a celebrity?
Well, now you can live that fantasy in The Sims 4 expansion pack Get Famous. Celebrity arcs are not new in Sims games, but Get Famous is arguably the most comprehensive of any game.
Sims can get into the spotlight by making music, using social media, creating videos, and even doing comedy. Like actual fame, it will quickly come to dominate the entire game for the sims affected by it.
Your sims will even develop unique traits as they develop fame. These are totally random, unlike the traits you can choose in other expansions. If you want to play Get Famous, you will have to dedicate yourself to it. The pack also has plenty of satirical elements to make the game humorous. That includes a literal bank vault your character can sleep in with all their cash.
For an expansion that essentially serves as a whole new game, Get Famous is a great option. There are tons of choices and the new fame dynamic will eat up plenty of your time.
The Sims is the most popular life simulation game on the planet, from start as one of the best PC games. Its quirky characters and bizarre story arcs have garnered the love of millions of players around the world. One of the most appealing things about the franchise is the almost endless replayability. The Sims 4 has a mind-boggling amount of content now. The base game is a fine experience if a bit underwhelming. However, it did streamline a lot of The Sims gameplay to make it more accessible to newer audiences.
It also allows players to transition to the more robust content that is available in the expansions. There is everything from small packs that just add new items to major content updates. The expansion packs offer entirely new gameplay scenarios, skills, and environments.
In fact, many of the expansions are nearly entire games in and of themselves. Before you look at any expansion packs, though, you will want to understand what different packs are available. There are tons of different packs, and they each offer different types of content, thematically and otherwise.
Expansion packs, as EA terms them, are the largest upgrades you can buy. These are the packs that offer new skills, new adventures, and loads of new content for your sims.

They are usually centered around certain themes and activities, and they flesh out the game in a specific area. Truly, these may be the more substantive packs that The Sims 4 has to offer players.
